Remembering Clarence Clemons

Clarence Clemons was known as “The Big Man” for both his large stature and his even larger personality and musical talent. As the saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, Clarence had many legendary solos throughout his nearly 40 year run with The Boss and his band. Clemons passed away last night at the age of 69, but he will live on through his music for many many years to come.

This 2 minute solo during “Jungleland” exemplifies his talent

In 2009, I saw The Boss play at the Boston Garden, and the concert was too good to put into words. The last song played during the encore was “Rosalita,” and Clemons’ sax playing is what really makes this song great.
